The inspiration for Metropolitan Sushi came from, one could guess, a love for sushi. However, as sushi is often categorized with seafood, and the fact that seafood is a key part of Japanese cuisine and life in Japan in general, it is prudent to include both as potential themes for all blog posts on this site.
Metropolitan Sushi opens a window into a life in Japan where one can easily and frequently enjoy what the Japanese call, “umi no sachi,” or, “fruits of the sea.” Keeping this in mind, it is hoped that readers will come to realize just how much sushi and seafood in general are important to life in Japan.
